Shopaholic : RiverKids

Due to someone's influence,
I might be getting this pair of Amy Flats.
kakaka!

Going to try it and maybe check out N.U.M later.

***

I wish I saw this site earlier!!
Then would have bought X'mas presents & birthday present here!

THE RIVERKIDS SHOP

All profits will go into the project that helps fight child trafficking in Cambodia.
Child trafficking meaning the kids from extremely poor families get sold into the sex trade, sold to be underage maids/laborers, sold to be beggars of syndicated rings etc.

Whatever horrible things you can imagine as a defenseless young kid from a poor familiy in Cambodia can probably happen la.

These stories are damn sad.

Anyway, what caught my interest are these bags from Bloom,
which are sold at RiverKids as well.

Bloom's buyline...
buy something beautiful, do something beautiful
and YES!!!
The bags are so pretty & cool & unique!
(did i see same/similar ones at N.U.M?)

Check them out!
(all pics credit to riverkids & bloom)

"Constructed from recycled plastic used for heavyduty feedsacks in Cambodia, these bags are laminated for extra strength"

It means that your bag was once used to carry fish food!
But it's been washed already.
I'm sure they won't sell you fishy smelling bags.
hahaha!

I want to order!!
I lub lub lubbbb the mermaid bag...haiyo!!
I want it laminated though!!

Actually I don't really know how to go about ordering also, guess I've to email the person.
BTW, founder of BLOOM is a Singaporean!
She's doing good things with BLOOM.
*beams*

Anyone wants to order them with me??
I think it could be cheaper for shipping in bulk from Cambodia, no?

Shipping to Singapore is FREE for items bought from RIVERKIDS though.

Buying a bag from either RIVERKIDS or BLOOM would enable you to help someone live a normal life that we've all taken for granted.

BUY!
BUY!
BUY!
BUY!
(buy la...)
2.27Am and reading about...

How a scammer got scammed into getting a tattoo.
(of all things! haha!)

Full email transcript here.
(The guy can be potential drama director.)

There was a time when I replied really nasty stuff to scammers.
After a while I gave up because there's just too many of them out there.

There's a forum going on to play with scammers.
What joy!
Knowing that there are people taking revenge.
*evil laugh*

All scam artistes...
be on your toes.
kakaka!

And I traded my pimped up mini for a corvette!
Quite sad to trade it in actually.
I know...it's zebra pink ah-lian mini!

At night...
You can see neon lights from under her belly!
ala Fast and Furious.
Bye Bye Ah-Lian!!
You'll be missed!

MY Super Branded Bag Part 2

At the swimming pool yesterday,
when Em passed it to me on behalf of Jeremy,
I wanted to re-trace my steps and head on back to where I came from.
It took me quite a while to accept the present 'coz i was like
Question Mark...?...Question Mark.

Is that horrendous looking thing for me?
But after I saw the closeup,
I laughed like crazy.
Really like a mad woman.

Who would have thought...
Me,
a person who couldn't care less for big name brands would get one.

Thank u once again to:
Jeremy, Gerry & Dawnie!
(u made my secret tai tai wish come alive! hahaha!)

And 3 BIG NAMES no less!
Seriously, no one would walk next to me if I carried this around.
=x

1st up,

Very Lian

LOUIS VUITTON

by
CHANEL

I'm sure the person who came up with the names
is the same one who suggested Aragorn be called
BAK
for
BAK-KWA

=p

Anyway,
this is the REAL present.

It's really super chio!!
Spot the country that I like but have never been to!
kakaka!

My Subway Mission & a Super Duper Branded Bag Part 1

Lucky is making me a little mental!!
Was on the MRT to Toa Payoh and singing the song in my head.
When I got to the chorus, I realized I was bobbing/swaying to an imaginary beat.
(but I cannot help it! I'm like one with the song! *ohm*)
I must have looked weird 'coz I wasn't wearing earphones and look like I was shaking suddenly.
Luckily, no one saw, their backs were all facing me.
KakaKA!
=p

***

You know,
my tummy is not even trying to hide discreetly.
Therefore, the Subway mission.
I'll be replacing my meals with a 6-inch Sub as many times as possible
until this Sat (eat eat eat many many again...)!
(Dawnie! Last thurs, I tried to order a half inch sub for u! Said it wrongly la! =p)

Blue girl,
Chicken Breast, no chilli, no onions, olives only on half...
is like our norm already man.

And I got a SUPER DUPER branded bag as my birthday present!!
Confirm no one will ever own something like that before.
Woohhoo!!
*prance around in bimbo moment*

Jeremy, Gerry & Dawnie!
Thank you muchos!!!

What's your first impression of the
SUPER DUPER Branded bag?
It's so cool right? Silver with Christmas colors and gold!
FWAH!!!
Where to find???
Closeups of the bag in next post!!!

P/S to the person going to KimChi land >> Ahn-nyeong-ha-sae-yo (hi!, they also use it for byebye!) and Kam-Sa-Ha-Mi-Da (thank u!). The other day at FaceShop, one of the helpful salesgirl told me Kam-sa-mi-sama or something like that. *fainted*

Halfbaked Secret 1 - Completed!

Li Wei's Surprise Party

(completed!!)

The whole surprise thingy was arranged by email/sms/phone calls.
Everything was so top secret.
Didn't even know the whole plan till the day itself.

and...

It's been about 3billion years since I've stepped foot on any type of chalets.
(It's for young people and I'm definitely wayyy past that.)

The surprise took place at an ulu place in Pasir Ris.
Is it NTUC chalets?
Only remember that the swimming pool there have got loads of ashes from all the BBQing.
EEeeks!

Got a ride from Em.
Was supposed to meet the girls at Toa Payoh.
=)
I was late again...what's new?
=x
When we finally reached, realized that we were the 2nd batch of people to arrive.
The 1st being Ying & Mel who've been helping out since the afternoon.

On pretext of putting down our bags...we invaded the air-conditioned room.
hahahha!
And took tau-pok to a whole new level.

Press...Press...
I must flatten their chest...

This is the first time I see Ariel looking so angelic.
(Check out the above pic on the bottom left corner.)

The little girl fascinated with the ah pek(old man) frames.

When I was younger, I wanted to wear glasses too.
It looked cool. I was so wrong.
Well, it's one of those things.

In the midst of our boisterousness...
we managed to interrogate the mastermind.

She gave us a rather in-depth explanation and
I'm still in awe, she took the time and thought out all the possibilities...

(mastermind playing through the whole scenario...)

Anyway,
Em was appointed official Cake Caretaker.
Hee!
Mel/Ying the official middle persons to pick up The Call...
to tell the Cake Caretaker to bring the cake out.

While the mastermind was out picking up the potential victim.
We entertained ourselves many many...

And then we got The Call.

EMILY!!

READY!
ACTION!

=p

So Em brought the cake out and the other girls helped to stuff in the candles.
(I just realized the cake have got lots of stars.)

Secret Receipe's Banana Chocolate cake.
(craving cake now...-_-)

Can't remember if Em was like giving instructions or whatever but from the pic it seems like it la.
hahaha!
Wah...then everyone kept so quiet.
Think our neighbours were quite intrigued and their volume went down slightly too.
(but in the end LW still could hear them la...hahaha!)

Then everything happened in a blur for me 'coz didn't wear glasses and suddenly
Li Wei (in blindfolds!) already very near our chalet with Carrine guiding him,
so he doesn't fall flat on his face.

And then once he was directly in front of the chalet.
Em stood facing him with the cake.

I'm assuming after one takes off a blindfold, they'll have some sort of tunnel vision...
and all LW could see was the cake and Em...
Think LW was not surprised.
He was shocked.
ahahhaha!
Hence, this pic...

Then we sang the Happy Birthday song.
Our neighbours were really high and joined in the sing along.
(Youth = Spontaniety = High)

After the clapping...time to cut cake.

LW still stunned.
The boy obviously needed some time to calm down and absorb the atmosphere.

At this point, my heart was beating so fast.
Swear if I had heart problems,
would have had a heart attack right there and then.

So anyway, after the SURPRISE!
We ate...ate...ate and ate some more.
Take pictures and gossip...

It was at the chalet where we made the date for our KTV session.
hee!
=)

Take picture...take picture...take picture of people eating...

Did the Yum Seng come before or after the speech?

Somwhere along the night, everyone did a toast.
*Yuuuummmm Seeengggggg*
(Practice for future wedding dinner?)

Then LW gave a mini speech.
To thank all the peeps who came from all corners of Sg to come give him a shock.
Despite everyone's busy schedule, they still came on his very special day.
OMG!
Are you feeling the love LW??

I'm sure he did la, and then he thanked his lovely mastermind...
with a 뽀뽀.
*muacks!*

Me being the slow reactor, did not get to take the pic of the actual kiss.
Darn it!
I got a posed one instead. -_-

oohhh ohh oh!
'I'm using Canon 80 IS...she's using Canon 80 15'
That night,
found out that LW have got the same camera as Dawnie and I.
Canon Ixus 80 IS.
Canon rocks!
But seriously the print on the camera,
Canon Ixus 80 IS, looks like a 5.
And it's not a problem with my eyes!!

***

We sang K!
Woo!
We need to practice more!
hahahha!
It was fun people!
Singing off-key is WOOHOO!!!
Still high!
Too much oxygen?

Today I found out that CP's voice is bloody loud.

2.5 girls - Gossip! over Subway.

After the swim, we had Subway for dinner.

Fi and I were gonna eat 6" each.
We shared a foot long so it would be a better deal.
At first Fi asked me to choose the filling that I wanted,
she said 'Anything...'
Remember, it's after some exercise...
Knowing what was gonna come, I said,
"Ok...Veggie Delight..."

hahahha!
The look Fi gave me was priceless.
(like the speechless, incredulous look when you've sprouted an antenna or 2...)
Finally she said,
"Can we have a little bit of meat or not?"

Didn't want to take the usual Turkey breast as it's high in salt.

Wanting to try something new, decided on the chicken breast.
Oven baked Chicken Breast. WooHoo!
Subway is bestest!!
And it's good!

After buying a club sandwhich for orange girl, we went back to find the others
but they weren't at the usual place.
So we hung out at McDs while waiting for orange girl.
McDs is like temptation island.
I want french fries...
I want ice-cream...
I want burger...
NoNoNoNoNonononooooooooooooooooooooo!
(I stole 3 fries from Fi! hahah!)

When you put 3...i mean 2.5 crazy girls together,
all sorts of topics will be discussed!

Anyway, let me try and recall the gossip/topics we covered...
  • boys (as usual...their quirks, our stupidity...)
  • work (about bad timing at the office, suppliers and their offerings...)
  • collagen (how they don't work, we shld just sleep and eat right.)
  • karaoke on sunday (box or party world which is better?)
  • slimming creams (how they burn down the fats, how you shld not bathe with kimchi slimming cream.)
  • bits and pieces of li wei's party (which I shld update but too lazy to.)
  • friends (how everyone's got their own idiosyncrasies...like how I'm not normal)
  • threading (ahahhaha!)
Did I miss anything out?

Anyway...
Threading
we've hatched out a semi-plan to meet up on one of Dawnie's lunch breaks
to thread our gorilla faces.
And we're gonna ask threadist(?) if anyone's ever tried threading
in places where the sun dont shine.
Wonder if she'll give us a discount.

Did you know I'm a fan of Agyness Deyn?

Her sense of style is wierd but it works for her!
Reminds me a little of Rui En.

of black sheeps, wolves and then some...

Eavesdropping is normally a bad idea.
But you get to hear stuff that normally people don't say to your face.

What the Fudge!
Even if you're a bloody liar and a half,
you don't curse your own mother to be hospitalized in ICU right?
  1. black sheep
  2. fantastic actor / wolf cryer
  3. liar on fire / crocodile tears in a river

This idiot is an out right 3 in 1,
don't even have to add water.

And it's the 2nd time that he got found out.
Should I add another...

Leopards don't change them spots!

You don't know how many times I've fantasized about stabbing him.
But to ruin my life because of his dirty blood is
not worth it.

Why does God take away all the good ones and leave these freaks behind?

Justin's birthday - Bolt, Chinese Buffet and Yangtze Cinema...what!?

Happy Birthday to Justin!

- 8 Dec 2008 -

I was late, as usual.
But the birthday boy was even later than I was.
hahahaaa!

Dawnie couldn't join us 'coz she had to bring her mom to see the doctor.
(btw, I diagnose her mom with gastric flu by sms! how cool is that...ahaha! Dawnie, I'll give you my name card soon!)

We watched BOLT at CineLeisure.
And I got the shock of my life when I found out movie tickets are now $10!!!
*fainted*

So expensive!
But still...lots of people milling about at the cinema.
What recession?
Didn't expect much from this show, haven't even heard of it prior to Gerry's suggestion.

Gerry!!
Bolt is a white German Shepherd!
hahaha!
Not a Westie as assumed.
(though bolt's head is damn big compared to his body...)

The posters in Korea would look like this!
WOOHOO!!

It reminds me of a cross between The Truman Show, Homeward Bound & Kim Possible!
The starting was quite dark and really not your typical cartoon.
I could feel myself tensing up initially.
But after you get the story line, the flow was good.

The dialogue is so funny, the people around me were laughing every other 5mins.
That's at least!
The loudest person in the theater was sitting next to me!
Kakaka!
The unlikely trio will definitely entertain.
The fat deluded hamster might have stolen the spotlight from Bolt,
if not for the last part where...

*SPOILER ALERT!!!*
Bolt saved his human...
*SPOILER ALERT!!!*

I think the moral of the story is :

Dig deeper!
Your eyes may deceive you.

So after our wonderful show,
we met up with Eugene & his many other friends(a.k.a strangers...) for dinner.
(This person don't wanna watch Bolt then don't let XiaoYing watch also...tsk tsk)

Chinese 'wedding dinner' buffet thingy at Neil Road.
We were the only customers!
Wahhh...
Apparently, they deal mainly with tour groups.
So I guess this could be why the waitresses seem to be rather stand-offish.
Tour groups will come and go no matter how you serve.
Most likely they'll never serve the same person again anyway,
might as well serve the way they feel like.

Even so...
I liked the kai lan and mango pudding!
Wooo!

And if you can't tell,
I was fascinated with the chopsticks as well.
=)

The 3 pics below are the ones I like best!
The favorit-est one would be the one on the left hand side.
The background is so pretty!!
(except for the 'kwa tio gui' face)
Have bougainvillea some more!

And our monochrome theme.
hahha!

NC16 content.
Pls read with care!

- Yangtze Cinema -

On the way home to the bus stop, we passed by the infamous Yangtze cinema.
I wonder how long this cinema will keep going.
One fine day the old men will ALL pass on, will the uncles from MY generation
continue to patronize this place when they too become old and wrinkled?

Anyhow, guess what Justin's teacher once said about this place.
Take a guess!
It's fun!

.
.
.
.

Got it yet?

.
.
.
.

Come on!
.
.
.
.

Tick Tock!
.
.
.
.

The answer is...

.
.
.
.

"The floor's very sticky."

hahahah!
Did you get it right?

Today's word of the day is - Shallow

Of all the shallow things to pray for.
I'd like to pray for the strangers who try to add me on FB
to look like the following :

Photos taken from various blogs/fan site

Super Junior!

Super Junior Han Kyung and SiWon

DBSK

DBSK

...you know these things don't happen,
at least not to me.

What I tend to get is this...

all ugly pics taken from here

I totally don't get the people who try to add strangers on their friends list.
How come it's all girls or at least 95% girls on their list?
Do they have like no In-Real-Life friends?
(I ask this because their total list is normally about 50+ girls only)

Are they keeping another account for their I-R-L friends?
And a separate one for their extra curricular activities?

I'm thinking these people tried to add like a few 1000 girls and
a handful actually accepted...
out of pity?
out of desire to increase their friend list?
Whatever.

Even though my marital status is set as
Married.
Even though I'm born in
1962.
(which makes me 46 *hiak!*)
Even though I did not tick ANY of the 'Looking For' boxes
  • Friendship
  • Dating
  • Relationship
  • Networking
(It's 'coz I'm NOT looking for anything...I'm perfectly fine entertaining myself and my IRL friends!)

So what this tells me is that regardless of my status,
anything that looks remotely female,
(I'm a boy btw...it's time for DODO to be unleashed...muahahah!)
one would be added as a friend?

Isn't that being shallow?
These kuku people don't really give a rat's behind with regards to what I'm about ya?

So I shall be just as shallow...

And right now,
all the half past six people just don't cut it.

Shallow
adjective, -er, -est, noun, adverb, verb –adjective
lacking depth; superficial: a mind that is not narrow but shallow.
