We were speaking a little Mandarin and,

She said : I know how to speak Chinese.
Me : What?
She : Wo Ai Ni.
Me : Ohhh...
She : (sagely) It means I Love You.
Me : Do you know Wo Hern Ni?
She : No, What's that?
Me : It means I hate you.
She : (in earnest) We cannot hate anybody.
Me : *blank*
Me : *pai seh*
Me : *recovered* ooohhh...
Me : ok, Wo Ai Ni.

Really, it's Huo Dao Lao, Xue Dao Lao...
and from a 5yr old at that.

Day 4

Today's the 4th Day of
"Zombie Nation".
4hrs in the morning and 3hrs in the afternoon again.

Teaching the same thing for 7 hrs.
Want to vomit already.

After this project, must rest for 1 month man.
hahaha!
Work 8 days, rest 1 month.
hahahahaaA!!

wake up at 6.45am.
SNOOZE till 7am.
hahaha!
finally get to the AC pool by 7.45am.
Teach till about 12pm.

Go home and then teach at 4pm again.
End at about 6+pm...
So tired physically.

Go home, read newspaper/books/watch tv,
try to sleep by 12am,
but end up sleeping at 1+/2am
and then the whole cycle will start again.
Until next wed.

Somehow, I'm just not particularly passionate about anything or overly interested in anything.
Is this a norm in my generation?

I guess my only saving grace is that I'm short-term obsessive.

I'll search everywhere for information, pictures and what nots...at least for a long while.

which took forever to come...with a certain G.

Cupboard Woes

Last time (meaning about 10yrs ago),
I looked at my little cupboard and kept telling myself that I had nothing to wear.
Even if there were plenty of tops, shorts and jeans.
I had 'nothing' to wear.

Now,
looking at my exploding ceiling to floor cupboard and 3 Toyogo mobile 5-drawer/shelving thingy...
and Im getting depressed at the massive amount of things I have.
How did I get to this point??
aaarrrrghhhhhhhhh!!!

I've to sell or give everything away.
The clutter is seriously getting to me.
It's funny how one can have so much but still get depressed.

I got 'shot' today by a thermometer/scanner thingy.
It's quite amazing,
I was about 2 arms length away from it and apparently it managed to get my temperature.

I wonder what happens if I had fever and no signs of flu at all.
Then how?

Quite extreme.
Maybe they just gotta show that their doing something,
even if the something is not very effective?

The wooden top deck is an open space for kids to play.
And their allowed to climb up the stairs and slide down this 1 floor worth of slide!

Anyway, it's an open concept thingy.
No walls to separate classrooms,
only dividers and the dividers do not go all the way up to the ceiling.

That's what my house should look like!

The coolest thing is that, during classroom time,
the children are allowed to face away from their teacher who's talking
due to the seating arrangement.
Apparently, it has boost the children's attention span.

Their school principal's idea is to teach them how to socialize from a young age and not be kept in a 'prison' as we've come to accept from the typical classroom designs everywhere.
So he thought that design would play an important part in his kindergarten.

Music that could wake the dead.

The walls of HDB flats are quite thin,
sometimes I can hear my neighbor's telly or their phone ringing.

Exactly 9am,
I woke to heart thumping music played at full blast.

The live band (not sure if it's live, sounds like it.) jumped into it the minute the clock struck 9am, probably so they won't get complaints thrown at them.
9am should be the legal time you can start a ruckus in Singapore.

They first song played was something you could dance to,
music that could wake the dead.
My window sills were vibrating to the beat.
It's that loud.

At the same time,
I think they're half hoping that they could really wake the dead.

To be fair,
only the first song could pass off as happy, high energy dance music.
The rest sounded more like emo love songs.


You see, a funeral's going on downstairs.
It's not your typical type of funeral.
There's a bit of a party atmosphere.
I think that's what funerals should be like.

Grand kids running about screaming,
excellent live band playing some of the deceased's favorite music.
Beautiful.

Out of the 10 or so songs,
I could only identify 3.

Seriously for some of the songs,
it feels like there's a mini orchestra.

Very VERY abrupt.


Now it's all gone quiet.
Only the sounds of people packing things up are left.
Oh wait, I hear the band again.

My vision is still blur with my glasses on.

Especially when I'm reading the computer screen or playing with my phone.

But can imagine the calories.
