Watch Taken! Liam Neeson is happening!

Excellent movie!
10 mins into the movie (even if your eyelids are heavy),
you will be gripping the edge of your seat.

It's definitely rated PG...because I learnt at least 1 more form of torture.
Muahahhaah!

Liam Neeson (He does intimidation very well!!) is Bryan, ex US government agent who is retired, divorced and trying to re-build his relationship with his teenage daughter.
His ex-wife is unconsciously or consciously(I cannot decide!) trying to sabotage his efforts.
Daughter now has a new step-dad who is a filthy rich business man (maybe that's why!).

Daughter wants to go on a trip to Paris,
with a Friend who's 17 years old as well. They would stay at Friend's cousin's place in Paris.
Dad is majorly against it (He reacted the way most Asian parents would).
But he gives his consent the next day in return for a few rules Daughter must abide by.
Like, calling to report the minute the plane lands etc.

And of course, once in Paris...Daughter conveniently gets distracted and forgets to call.
Dad goes into worried mode, calls his ex-wife in the middle of the night (It's morning in Paris but dark in U.S.). Ex-wife is not concern, thinking that Liam Neeson is just being overly protective.

So the anxious Dad keeps calling till distracted Daughter answers the phone.

The 2 girls have reached the Cousin's house.
Daughter answers Dad's call in the toilet because her friend (who's adventurous + cheap (you'll know why in the movie!!)) is playing dance music at it's MAXIMUM volume in the living room.

Now the fun part begins...
He's on the phone with his Daughter who can see her friend being kidnap and can hear his Daughter being
Taken <- ooohhhh...that's how they got the title! -_-


He breaks the news to his ex-wife.
Ex-wife now in distraught mode, asks him to bring her Daughter back.
(I want to slap the Ex-wife and the Friend!!)

Anyway, long story short...
the rest of the movie is about Dad breaking all rules to conquer bad people in Paris.
Anyone in his way will be eliminated.

Watch Watch WATCH!!
It will reinforce what your Mama and Papa have been telling you all these years.
'Don't talk to strangers', 'Don't be cheap', 'Use your brain'.
